An Invitation

College life, as you are probably aware,
centers around a great deal more than the
classroom. Extra-curricular activities are
among the things that keep you stimulated
and alive around a school such as this.

The University has about as many
organizations as it does students each of
which has something to offer which is felt to
be uniquely valuable by its members.

In all modesty, however, we feel that your
orientation would hardly be complete if we
failed to inform you about the finest and
most exciting of all the University's activities
-The Cavalier Daily. Our penthouse suite of
offices in Newcomb Hall, our beautiful and
vivacious secretaries, and our dynamic young
writers and editors make us the envy of all the
other daily papers on the Grounds.

This ought to be an interesting year for the
paper and we'd like you to become a part of
it. We need reporters in all of our departments
as well as anyone interested in business and
advertising. We are especially interested in
getting some females and graduate students
into the operation. We guarantee that anyone
who wants to write will find an outlet here.
Working for the paper will make demands on
your time, of course, but they are not
exorbitant. Some of us even get good grades.
